“The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Renewed by NBC Owned Television Stations Through Summer 2020
(January 4, 2016 – Burbank, CA) – Multiple Emmy Award-winning daytime talk show “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” has been renewed by the NBC Owned Television Stations in a deal with Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution through summer 2020 (the 2019-20 television season), it was announced today by Valari Staab, President, NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations, and Ken Werner, President, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
The series, from Telepictures Productions, will continue to air on 10 of the NBC-owned stations, including WNBC (New York), KNBC (Los Angeles), WMAQ (Chicago), WCAU (Philadelphia), KXAS (Dallas-Fort Worth), KNTV (San Francisco Bay Area), WRC (Washington, D.C.), WTVJ (Miami-Fort Lauderdale), KNSD (San Diego) and WVIT (Connecticut).

“Ellen” is the elite talk show choice, ranking as the #1 rated talk show across all overnight LPM markets for the 4th consecutive November sweep, while improving +7% over the prior year time period rating with Women 25-54 (1.6 rtg vs. 1.5 Nov 14 TP rtg). Additionally, “Ellen” continues to be the largest recruiter in the genre, delivering the biggest Women 25-54 rating gains over its lead-in for the 13thconsecutive sweep (since May 11 sweep).
Across the NBC stations, “Ellen” delivered ratings gains this November, up +8% over the prior year time period with Women 25-54 (1.4 rtg. vs. 1.3 Nov 14 TP rtg). In top market New York, “Ellen” more than doubled its “Steve Harvey” lead-in rating and delivered a 5 year time period high rating (1.5 rtg, strongest November sweep since Nov 2010).
