Ducati And Warner Bros. Consumer Products Team Up For “Catwoman”

(June 30, 2004 - Bologna, Italy) – Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. (NYSE: DMH, Borsa Italiana S.p.A: DMH), a leading manufacturer of high performance motorcycles, today announced that it is teaming up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to promote the global premiere of “Catwoman.” The highly anticipated film stars Halle Berry in the part of Patience Philips, a sensitive artist who, through a mystical twist of fate is transformed into Catwoman, a woman with the senses, strength, speed and agility of a cat. In the film, Catwoman rides a Ducati Monster Dark, another sleek “cat” of exceptional speed and agility, famed around the world for its incredible design and performance. The original "naked" motorcycle, the Ducati Monster created an overnight sensation when it was launched over a decade ago. Today, it continues to define the class. An essential street fighter -- with its fully exposed engine and bodywork -- the Monster delivers style and real sport bike performance. The limited edition Monster 620 Catwoman, which will go into production beginning in September, features custom accessories and a bold graphic scheme inspired by the film, which will be applied to the motorcycle’s tank using a state-of-the-art dip bath by Cubic Co. Ltd. The bike will be on display on July 21st at New York’s famed Fifth Avenue fashion mecca Henri Bendel, where Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Bendel will celebrate the opening of the film with a one-of-a-kind designer catsuit collection including a Ducati-designed interpretation inspired by the film “Catwoman.” The super chic black and white catsuit boasts the highest quality materials and craftsmanship. From the butter-soft aniline-dyed Nappa leather, retro logos and airbrushed Arai helmet, to the branded cuff buttons, designer boots by Casadei, and Ducati performance gloves, the Ducati catsuits exude Italian style and appeal. Also on display at the event will be the Ducati limited edition Monster 620 Catwoman, which will go into production beginning in September. British television presenter, motorcycle expert and journalist Louise Brady will model Ducati’s Catwoman suit. Following this, the bike will be shown at the EICMA motorcycle fair in Munich in September, where Ducati will take orders from customers. “Ducati is thrilled to be a part of this exciting film event which celebrates a powerful woman character who happens to ride a high performance sport motorcycle,” said David Gross, Ducati Creative Director. “Movies don’t get any more thrilling than this, and seeing Catwoman on a Ducati has all of Italy excited.” Founded in 1926, Ducati builds racing-inspired motorcycles characterized by unique engine features, innovative design, advanced engineering and overall technical excellence.
