Darcy Antonellis Promoted To Senior Vice President, Distribution Technologies & Operations, Warner Bros. Technical Operations

(February 6, 2001 - Burbank, CA) - Darcy Antonellis has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Distribution Technologies & Operations, Warner Bros. Technical Operations, it was announced today by Chris Cookson, Executive Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, Warner Bros. In her new post, Antonellis will oversee the company’s transition from traditional distribution technologies to the digital distribution of content via new and extended channels, as well as facilitate the technical and operational changes necessary to support these new opportunities. Antonellis will retain the responsibilities of her previous post, Senior Vice President, Operations-Technical Operations, including worldwide film print manufacturing and physical distribution, the syndication distribution operations of both The WB Network and Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, mastering and digital encoding of Warner Bros.-licensed or distributed content, and the company’s worldwide content archives. "As the entertainment industry moves toward new digital standards, it’s important that Warner Bros. has a top-notch technical operations staff on board to facilitate this transition," said Cookson. "Since joining the company, Darcy has consistently proven herself to be a strong leader of our team, and more than qualified to play this important role in the future of our operations." Antonellis joined Warner Bros. in 1998 as Senior Vice President, Operations-Technical Operations. Prior to that, she spent seven years at the CBS Television Network, most recently as Vice President, Technical and Olympic Operations, having also served as Vice President, Technical Operations and Director, Technical Services at the network. Before that, Antonellis served as Vice President, Operations and Engineering at WTTG-TV, the Fox affiliate in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, she served as Director, Washington Operations, for the CBS News Bureau in Washington, D.C., Manager Central and Technical Operations, and Project Engineer, Satellite Systems Division at the CBS Television Network. Throughout her career, Antonellis has been part of news teams that have covered presidential elections and inaugurations, the 1990 Bush-Gorbachev Summit, two Winter Olympic Games, Operation Desert Storm and a number of international political events. She has received two Emmy Awards for her technical production work on the Olympics. Antonellis holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Temple University, and an MBA with concentration in finance from Fordham University in New York. # # #
