Chris Caramalis Promoted To Vice President - Finance, DC Comics & MAD Magazine

(December 2, 2002 – New York, NY) – Chris Caramalis has been promoted to Vice President -Finance, DC Comics & MAD Magazine, Paul Levitz, Publisher, DC Comics & MAD Magazine, announced today. Reporting to Senior Vice President - Finance and Operations, Patrick Caldon, Caramalis will continue to direct the financial affairs of DC Comics and MAD Magazine. “I am extremely pleased with this announcement,” said Caldon. “Chris faced many challenges over the last eight years, as our business grows more complex. His promotion to Vice President is well deserved. I look forward to Chris’s increased involvement with the company’s leadership, which will now benefit as I have from his business acumen and analytical thinking.” Prior to his promotion, Caramalis served as the Director - Finance & Controller, DC Comics & MAD Magazine since 1994, when he was hired. Caramalis is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPAs. Before DC Comics, Caramalis was the Controller for O’Sullivan Publishing, and before that he was the Controller at Raven Press for six years.
