Chello Zone Acquires More Than 550 Hours Of Film And Television Programming In Licensing Deal With Warner Bros. International Television Distribution

(January 26, 2009 – London) - Multi-channel operator Chello Zone has acquired rights to a wide selection of television series, miniseries and feature films from Warner Bros. International Television Distribution (WBITD), it was announced today by Steve Cole, Senior Vice President, Channels at Chello Zone, and Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television. The multi-title deal, which includes more than 550 hours of programming supplied by WBITD, will see a diverse range of popular programs and Hollywood movies heading for three of Chello Zone’s UK channels: Zone Romantica, Zone Thriller and Zone Horror. Zone Thriller, the high-tension home of suspense films and series, has picked up a slew of titles, including “The Bourne Identity” miniseries John Grisham’s “The Client” and “Kung Fu: The Movie.” Zone Romantica, the female-skewed channel that offers the best romantic dramas from around the world, has acquired award-winning titles such as “The Thorn Birds,” “Scruples,” “Falcon Crest,” “Lace” and “Lace II.” In addition, “Salem’s Lot,” “Freddy’s Nightmares” and Stephen King’s “It,” among many others, are heading to Zone Horror, the unique channel dedicated to broadcasting spine-tingling films and series for horror fans.
