Bruce Marshall Promoted To Senior Vice President, International Retail Business Development For Warner Bros. Consumer Products
(March 6, 2002 – Burbank, CA) – Bruce Marshall has been promoted to Senior Vice President, International Retail Business Development for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, it was announced today by Mark Matheny, Executive Vice President, International, Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
Reporting to Matheny, Marshall will lead and manage international licensed retail and sourcing business to build volume and maximize profitability for the division. In his new role, he will develop and implement an international strategy to increase sales of licensed retail business, including retail promotional programs and product development.
“Bruce has been instrumental in creating and implementing retail business strategies for the Warner Bros. Consumer Products International division, and his promotion will further his direction of developing new product,” Matheny said. “Proving his strong capabilities and experience in launching the International Business team within the division, he will continue to make expansive contributions.”
In 1999, Marshall joined Warner Bros. Studio Stores as Vice President, International Store Operations and then transitioned to Warner Bros. Consumer Products in 2001 as Vice President, International Retail Business Development. In his position, Marshall developed a strategy to assist Warner Bros. Consumer Products in building a licensed retail business.
Prior to joining Warner Bros., Marshall spent 15 years working at Marks and Spencer, the premier retailer in the United Kingdom, in both store management and merchandising. As an executive of Central and Eastern Europe, he was responsible for the establishment of their businesses across the region. Marshall was educated in the United Kingdom and served 10 years in Her Majesties Royal Marines Commandos.
