Blair Rich Named Senior Vice President, Marketing And Creative Advertising, At Warner Bros. Pictures International

(September 11, 2006 - Burbank, CA) – Blair Rich has been promoted to senior vice president, marketing and creative advertising, at Warner Bros. Pictures International. The announcement was made today by WBPI president of marketing Sue Kroll. The new post will expand Rich’s strategic role in the marketing of theatrical motion pictures that Warner Bros. releases in all international territories. She will continue to direct and oversee creative campaigns for numerous studio releases, including the forthcoming "Blood Diamond," "300" and "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" and "Beowulf." Rich will continue to be based at the Studio’s worldwide headquarters in Burbank, reporting directly to Kroll. “Blair has been at the forefront of some of our most successful campaigns,” Kroll said. “Strategy and creative go hand-in-hand and we are thrilled to recognize her tremendous growth, creativity and dedication with this promotion.” After leaving Georgetown University in 1997, Rich joined Warner Bros. Pictures International as a marketing trainee. She quickly rose among the ranks, becoming a director in 2002 and vice president, marketing and creative advertising, for the division in April 2003. Since then, Rich has directed campaigns for the Harry Potter series of films based upon the novels by J.K. Rowling, as well as "Superman Returns," "Batman Begins," "The Island," "The Polar Express," "Two Weeks Notice," "The Last Samurai" and numerous others.
