Annie Leung Appointed Vice President Of Licensing For Warner Bros. Consumer Products In Greater China And Southeast Asia

(April 23, 2001 – Burbank, CA) – Annie Leung has joined Warner Bros. Consumer Products as Vice President of Licensing for Greater China and Southeast Asia, it was announced today by Mark Matheny, Executive Vice President, International for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Reporting to Matheny, Leung will lead and manage licensing sales, marketing and operations for Warner Bros. Consumer Products in Greater China and Southeast Asia. In her new role, she will assist in generating and implementing operational policies and procedures and prepare a full licensing strategy to be executed within the region. “We are very excited that Annie has joined our group. Her strong working knowledge of the Asian marketplace, coupled with her highly developed brand management expertise and excellent leadership skills make her the perfect choice for this position,” said Matheny. “She is a strategic thinker with an excellent business sense. Her hands on attributes will make her an integral member of our international business team.” Based in Hong Kong, Leung will supervise a regional team of more than 20 people and also directly supervise the Singapore office, which covers the Southeast Asia operations. Additionally, she will build and maintain relationships with key retailers, distributors, manufactures, promotion/advertising houses, as well as trade media. Before joining Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Leung most recently was the Chief Executive Officer of TAO Concept Ltd, where she engaged in the creation and distribution of character products. Prior to this, she was the Regional General Manager at Mattel East Asia Limited. Before working at Mattel, Annie worked as General Manager for Cosdel (Far East) Ltd., a gift chain operation company operating in 43 retail outlets in Hong Kong, where she introduced numerous licensing products, refocused product lines and identified new potential products. Leung holds a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communications from the University of Georgia and a BSBA degree from the Thomas Eddison State College. Warner Bros.
