Ana De Castro Promoted To Vice President, Legal Affairs For Warner Bros. Consumer Products

(February 15, 2001 – Burbank, CA) – Ana de Castro has been promoted to Vice President, Legal Affairs for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, it was announced today by Gary Simon, Senior Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs, Warner Bros. Consumer Products Licensing and Warner Bros. Studio Stores. Reporting to Simon, de Castro’s responsibilities will include reviewing and approving all proposed licensing deals and structuring and negotiating license agreements for Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ domestic and international legal affairs. Additionally, she will manage the contract administration legal function. She will also provide legal advice in connection with the review and approval of licensed products, artwork and promotional and publicity materials. “When Ana first joined the company, she quickly became a trusted adviser and gained the respect of all who worked with her,” said Simon. “She continues to utilize her excellent understanding of our business needs to ensure that we accomplish our goals.” In 1996, de Castro joined Warner Bros. Consumer Products as an Attorney. She was promoted in 1998 to Senior Attorney and shortly thereafter, Assistant General Counsel was added to her responsibilities. Prior to joining Warner Bros. Consumer Products, de Castro served as Assistant General Counsel at Unilever United States, Inc. In that position she was responsible for all legal issues related to the marketing of the company’s consumer products. Prior to that, she was a corporate attorney at Morrison & Foerster. She holds a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and a B.A. in Economics from The University of Michigan. Warner Bros.
