Ana de Castro Promoted To Senior Vice President, Business And Legal Affairs For Warner Bros. Consumer Products
(February 28, 2007 - Burbank, CA) – Ana de Castro has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs for Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP). The announcement was made today by Brad Globe, President, Warner Bros. Worldwide Consumer Products, to whom she will report.In her new position, de Castro holds responsibility for all worldwide business and legal affairs operations for WBCP. She will negotiate license agreements for use of the Company’s theatrical, television and other properties on consumer products, promotions and theme parks, as well as work closely on merchandising rights acquisitions. Additionally, de Castro will have increased involvement in the overall business and strategic planning for WBCP.“Over the past decade, Ana has risen through the ranks and has certainly become an invaluable member of this company,” said Globe. “Her leadership and counsel are key to achieving our business objectives, and we are pleased to promote her growth within WBCP.”In 1996, de Castro joined Warner Bros. Consumer Products as an Attorney. She was promoted in 1998 to Senior Attorney and, shortly thereafter, Assistant General Counsel duties were added to her responsibilities. In 2001, de Castro was promoted to the position of Vice President, Legal Affairs, a title she held until her current promotion.Prior to joining Warner Bros. Consumer Products, de Castro served as Assistant General Counsel-Marketing at Unilever United States, Inc. She started her career as a corporate attorney at Morrison & Foerster. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from The University of Michigan.
