“Three Stooges” Writers To Chat With Fans On Warner Bros. Online

(May 13, 2002 – Burbank, CA) – The writing-producing-directing team of Peter and Bobby Farrelly will be “nyuking it up” with Three Stooges fans old and new at www.warnerbros.com on Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at 5:00 PDT/8:00EDT. In their latest online chat, the Farrelly brothers (“There’s Something About Mary,” “Dumb and Dumber”), who are writing the script for a new Three Stooges film being developed by Warner Bros. Pictures and C3 Entertainment, Inc., will be asking fans about their favorite “Three Stooges” memories, as well as what they’d most like to see in a new Stooges story. The Farrellys plan to work closely with C3 Entertainment, the company founded by The Three Stooges and the holder of the rights to the Stooges’ name, history and image, to retain the broad, classic style of The Three Stooges in their script. They feel that the interaction between Larry, Moe and Curly is fundamental to the Stooges’ enduring success. Explained the Farrellys, “We are very sensitive to the history and unique talents of The Three Stooges, and we are committed to bringing them to life on the screen as three distinct, funny and endearing characters. We are working hard to keep what made them great while creating a new, fresh storyline. That’s why we want to hear more from fans in this chat.” Fans are invited to share their favorite memories, to express what they’d like to see in a new movie, or to talk about what it was that made "The Three Stooges" one of the most enduring and popular comedy acts the entertainment world has ever known. Questions for the Farrellys can be submitted now and live during Wednesday’s chat, which will be hosted by Warner Bros. Online.
