“Giant” For The First Time Ever On DVD From Warner Home Video

(March 31, 2003 – Burbank, CA) – On June 10, Warner Home Video (WHV) celebrates the DVD debut of the larger-than-life classic “Giant” with a two-disc special edition release. Produced and directed by the legendary George Stevens (“A Place in the Sun,” “Gunga Din”), this sprawling epic received ten Academy Award® nominations and earned director George Stevens an Oscar®. Based on Edna Ferber's best-selling family saga about a Texas family of ranchers and oilmen, “Giant” stars Academy Award®-winner Elizabeth Taylor and Academy Award®-nominees James Dean, Rock Hudson and Dennis Hopper and held its place as Warner Bros.’ top-grossing feature film for more than twenty years following its initial, 1956 release.
