“Falling Down” Blu-Ray Book And Deluxe Edition DVD Debut May 26 From Warner Home Video

(January 27, 2009 – Burbank, CA) – On June 11, the American Film Institute (AFI) will honor Academy Award® winner Michael Douglas (“Wall Street,” “One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest”) with their prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Leading up to the event, on May 26, Warner Home Video will debut “Falling Down” on both Blu-ray and DVD, featuring an outstanding performance from Douglas in this searing tale of urban reality about an ordinary man at war with the everyday world. Joel Schumacher (“The Phantom of the Opera,” “Batman Forever”) directed this spellbinding thriller which also stars Academy Award® winner Robert Duvall (“Godfather I” & “II”), Barbara Hershey (“The Right Stuff”), Tuesday Weld (“Looking for Mr. Goodbar”) and Rachel Ticotin (“The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”). “Falling Down” will be available for the first time in high definition in premium Blu-ray Book packaging ($34.99) as well as a Deluxe Edition DVD ($19.97 SRP). Both versions boast new special features including commentary by Michael Douglas and director Joel Schumacher, and a conversation with Michael Douglas entitled “Deconstructing D-FENS.” The Blu-ray Book also contains over 30 pages of filmmaker and talent bios, a discussion of the film, an examination of the “bad guy,” photos and more. Orders for both are due April 21. Michael Douglas and Robert Duvall star in several films in 2009, making this release even more timely. Douglas is scheduled to star in “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past” with Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner; “Solitary Man” with Susan Sarandon and Danny DeVito and “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” with Amber Tamblyn.
