“ER: The Complete Thirteenth Season” On July 6, 2010 From Warner Home Video
(March 17, 2010 – Burbank, CA) – The doctor drama never seems to cease in the thirteenth installment of one of TV’s perennial favorites. “ER,” the most Emmy-nominated show in television history, continues its incredible in-depth look into the lives of the doctors of a public hospital emergency room and the immense daily pressures they face. The longest-running medical drama in American primetime television returns once again as Warner Home Video releases “ER: The Complete Thirteenth Season” on DVD on July 6, 2010 for $49.98. Order due date is June 1, 2010.
“ER” continues to find ways to captivate its audience, as more than 11 million viewers turned in for Season 13. This season, Dr. Tony Gates (John Stamos) returns to the ER, now as an intern, with a straightforward attitude and a complicated personal life. He is Dr. Gallant’s opposite: brash, cocksure, with a bad-boy past, and maybe the right prescription for Neela’s (Parminder Nagra) broken heart. Further shaking up the ER, Weaver (Laura Innes) decides to leave County General for a career move you wouldn’t expect. And the profound dramas of the outside world continue to make their way to the ER, including a hostile patient whose real condition is a secret even to himself, homeless children who escape to a magic world of their own making, and a Christmas miracle. Then again, miracles happen every day at County General.
“We are thrilled to release the latest installment of ‘ER,’one of the most highly acclaimed drama series of our time,” said Rosemary Markson, WHV Vice President, TV and Special Interest Marketing. “Season 13 promises to deliver more heart-pounding episodes with more memorable performances from the doctors you have come to know and love.”
Season 13 of “ER” starred Goran Visnjic, Maura Tierney, Mekhi Phifer, Parminder Nagra, John Stamos, Linda Cardellini, Shane West, Scott Grimes and Laura Innes. The executive producers of season 13 are Christopher Chulack, Michael Crichton, John Wells, David Zabel and R. Scott Gemmill. The series was created by Crichton. “ER” is from Constant c Productions, Amblin Television in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Guest stars for season 13 include Forest Whitaker (“The Shield”), nominated for an Emmy for his performance, Sally Field (“Brothers & Sisters”), Stanley Tucci (“The Devil Wears Prada”), John Mahoney (“Frasier”), Paula Malcolmson (“Deadwood”), Fred Ward (“Henry & June”), Annabella Sciorra (“The Sopranos”), Freddy Rodriguez (“Six Feet Under,” “Ugly Betty”), Busy Philipps (“Cougar Town”), Stacy Keach (“Prison Break”), Robert Prosky (“Hill Street Blues”) and Ken Davitian (“Borat”).
