“Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown Deluxe Edition” On DVD From Warner Home Video

(December 3, 2007 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Home Video (WHV) will steal consumers’ hearts on January 15, 2008 with the deluxe edition DVD release of “Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown.” The all-time favorite seasonal animated television special, will be available just in time for Valentine’s Day in its dazzling, newly re-mastered format along with a delightful bonus featurette and two extra episodes. “Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown, Deluxe Edition” will retail for $19.98 SRP. Order due date has been set for December 11, 2007. Having made its original television debut in 1975, “Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown,” which stars the lovable Peanuts clan, focuses on the gang’s preparations for the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday. Everyone has high hopes of having their dreams of love and friendship fulfilled. Charlie Brown wants to get a Valentine from anyone and patiently waits by his mailbox. Linus is on a mission to find a perfect Valentine’s gift for his favorite teacher, Miss Othmar. Lucy wants Schroeder to finally notice her. This endearing featurette examines the love lives of the Peanuts characters and it also looks at how creator Charles Schultz’s own personal views on love and relationships influenced his work. From Charlie Brown’s infatuation with “The Little Red Hair Girl,” to Lucy’s longing for the pianist Schroeder. • “You’re in Love, Charlie Brown” (bonus episode) - With the school year coming to a close, Charlie Brown tries to work up the courage to meet his school-girl crush, the little red-haired girl and enlists the help of his pals Linus and Peppermint Patty. • “It’s Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown” (bonus episode) - It’s homecoming night and Charlie Brown is asked to escort the homecoming queen, who just so happens to be the elusive, little red-haired girl whom Charlie has been pining for all his life. Since the 1950’s Peanuts is one of the most beloved comic strips in the world. Originally written and illustrated by Charles M. Schulz, the strip ran from 1950 until Schulz’s death in 2000. The comic focused on a lovable crew of characters including Charlie Brown, Lucy Van Pelt, Charlie’s pet beagle, Snoopy, and his side-kick Woodstock, as well as several other characters, which were the focus of funny, poignant stories of childhood for every season.
