“The Exorcist” DVD & VHS Rental From Warner Home Video

(November 21, 2000 – Burbank, CA) - “On the day after Christmas,” a 1974 Newsweek cover story began, “a film called ‘The Exorcist’ opened in 22 cities across America. Since then, all hell has broken loose.” The film went on to electrify a generation and incite hysteria and controversy the likes of which no one had ever seen. Now, exactly 26 years later, director William Friedkin has restored 11 minutes of footage not included in the original and created “The Exorcist -- The Version You’ve Never Seen” which will be released on DVD and VHS December 26. The DVD will be for sale at $24.98 SRP and the VHS for rent. With operations in 78 international territories -- more than the video division of any other studio -- Warner Home Video commands the largest distribution infrastructure in the global video marketplace.
