Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of one of the most iconic, cinematic love stories of all-time, Gone with the Wind. Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Olivia de Havilland and Hattie McDaniel star in this classic epic of the American South set during the United States Civil War. Considered one of the greatest classic American movies, Gone with the Wind won 10 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, Hattie McDaniel, the first Oscar awarded to an African-American actor.

One of the first sequences filmed was the burning of Atlanta, which took place at Selznick Studios in Culver City, California. The large structure burning in the background is the remnants of the large gate that had been used in King Kong six years earlier.
