"The Nice Guys" - Live Q&A
Watch this stealthy video of the recent live Q&A session that took place after a special screening of the upcoming action-comedy, The Nice Guys (the rest of us will have to wait until May 20). This special event featured the film’s stars Oscar winner Russell Crowe, Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling, Matt Bomer, Angourie Rice and Margaret Qualley, as well as writer/director Shane Black and producer Joel Silver, who first worked together bringing Black’s classic Lethal Weapon script to the big screen all those years ago.
VIDEO WARNING: A few cuss words make their way into the convo (the movie is rated R, after all), so place the earmuffs on any little ones hanging around your computer. Scroll to the beginning of the event (at 0:45), turn up the volume, have some laughs and enjoy!
Set in 1970s Los Angeles, The Nice Guys follows Holland March (Gosling) and hired enforcer Jackson Healy (Crowe) who must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power.
Besides Crowe, Gosling, Bomer, Rice and Qualley, the film also stars Keith David (TV’s Community) and Oscar winner Kim Basinger (who, of course, starred with Crowe in L.A. Confidential, which resulted in her Academy Award performance). Black directed the film from an original screenplay he wrote with Anthony Bagarozzi. And here’s the last trailer you’re gonna see before The Nice Guys hits theaters on May 20.
And in case you don’t read the tabloids or watch gossip television and haven’t heard, Gosling and Crowe took some Couples Therapy during the filming in order to better deal with one another. Here’s a secret video of one such session:
