Free Comic Book Day Is May 7
The first Saturday of May is coming up and you know what that means! It's Free Comic Book Day! Now in it's fifteenth year, FCBD is a single day each year when participating comic book shops give free comics to any fan who visits their store. It's a pretty self-explanatory holiday! Each shop may have different rules on what titles it will be distributing or how many copies a patron can receive, but you can be sure to receive at least one free comic on Free Comic Book Day.
DC Comics is excited to once again be participating during this year's giveaways. DC titles that will be part of FCBD will appeal to a wide range of fans and include a special edition of Suicide Squad #1, the first chapter of the seminal graphic novel Suicide Squad Vol. 1: Kicked in the Teeth. If you're looking for something to "Get Your Cape On" to, then pick up the sneak peek of the long-awaited original graphic novel DC Super Hero Girls: Finals Crisis, courtesy of Shea Fontana and Yancey Labat.

And Free Comic Book Day isn't just about free comics. Many shops will be hosting parties, artists, writers and more. DC has created an easy-to-use interactive map where you can check to see the who, what, wheres and whens of Free Comic Book Day. Many of these events may require pre-registration or wristbands to enter, so be sure to check with your local shop beforehand!
And no matter where you spend your Free Comic Book Day, remember to share your tweets and photos with your fellow DC-loving comic fans by using the hashtag #DCFCBD! Learn even more about DC and Free Comic Book Day on DC's own blog. See you May 7!
