"The Big Bang Theory" Hits #200!

Find Out What's in Store

Where did the time go? Wasn't it just yesterday that Sheldon and Leonard were meeting their new neighbora young aspiring actress/Cheesecake Factory waitress from Nebraska named Penny? She seemed to be their polar opposite but over the course of nine seasons Penny not only became a trusted confidante to Sheldon but Leonard's wife as well. Maybe we all stepped into some kind of black hole, just as Sheldon did in Season Six's "The 43 Peculiarity" but somehow it's been nine years and 200 episodes with The Big Bang Theory.

The past nine seasons have seen BBT rack up an impressive number of awards, and the series consistently ranks as one of television's most popular comedies, attracting over 20 million viewers a week.

The show has also attracted a number of notable guest stars, from both science and pop culture. On the more, shall we say, intellectual end of the spectrum, the show has hosted guests such as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, theoretical physicist Brian Greene, Stephen Hawking, engineer and former NASA astronaut Michael J. Massimino, as well as inventor and engineer Elon Musk.

We've also been treated to guest appearances by Carrie Fisher, Summer Glau, Bob Newhart, Bill Nye, Jessica WalterJames Earl Jones, LeVar Burton, George TakeiKatee Sackhoff, Brent Spiner, Leonard Nimoy (in voiceover form) and, of course, Stan Lee.

So far, Season Nine has been a juicy onea marriage that almost didn't happen, the ShAmy intimacy, a new Star Wars movie, a baby on the way, and we finally met the much talked about, but never-before-seen MeeMaw.

So what can we expect for the momentous #200? "The Celebration Experimentation" will air Thursday, February 25 at 8/7c on CBS and feature some familiar faces from seasons past, along with some major guest star power. Wil Wheaton will be back playing himself (of course), Leonard's mom (played by Christine Baranski) will be featured, and Sara Gilbert as Leslie Winkle (last seen in Season Three's "The Lunar Excitation") will even be making an appearance! Oh, and Batman...er...we mean, Adam West will also be there!

It's the Batman of my youth. Freaking out that Adam West is here this week!!!

To get you psyched up here's a fab throwback Conan clip with Jim Parsons as they take a fan backstage on the BBT set to find a souvenir and meet Simon Helberg who plays MIT grad and engineer Howard Wolowitz.
