We're thrilled to show you the debut teaser trailer for James Wan's horrifying sequel, The Conjuring 2, which arrives in theaters on June 10; three years since the blockbuster release of The Conjuring in the summer of 2013. And for horror fans around the world, it's been a loooong couple of years. Yes, there was The Conjuring spinoff, Annabelle, in 2014 (co-produced by Wan and directed by Conjuring cinematographer John R. Leonetti), which also became that year's highest-grossing horror film, but fans of the genre are ready to see Wan back in the director's chair this summer.

The Conjuring, which marked the largest opening ever for an original horror movie upon its release in July of 2013 went on to make more than $319 million worldwide and still remains the second highest grossing original horror movie of all time, behind The Exorcist. And like that 1973 classic, The Conjuring didn't rely on blood, gore and course language to scare the hell out of its audience. In fact, the film's "R" rating, usually reserved for those previously mentioned factors, was given the rating for the simple fact that it was just too damn scary!

The upcoming supernatural thriller brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reprise their roles as the Warrens, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London this time around to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.

In addition to directing the film, Wan wrote the screenplay with Carey Hayes & Chad Hayes, and David Leslie Johnson.

Rounding out the cast of The Conjuring 2 are Frances O’Connor (TV’s The Missing) as the single mom, with Madison Wolfe (TV’s Zoo) and newcomers Lauren Esposito, Patrick McAuley and Benjamin Haigh as her children; Maria Doyle Kennedy (TV’s Orphan Black); Simon Delaney (TV’s Roy); Franka Potente (TV’s The Bridge); and Simon McBurney (Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation).

And it's not just the fans who can't wait for Wan to wave his wand of horror again, even New Line Cinema execs like President of Operations & Content Strategy Carolyn Blackwood revealed to WB.com just last month her own excitement about the upcoming release, saying: "The Conjuring 2 is probably the [film] that I’m most excited about for [2016], mainly because I’m a huge horror fan. I love being scared. I’m that person who watches through her fingers but loves every second of it. I will also say that I’m a little bit of a James Wan groupie [laughs]. He is so super talented. Watching him work is amazing. I mean, when you’re on the set of a horror movie and know you’re on a set, know they’re actors, and yet you’re still scared when you watch them shoot the scene on the monitor? That’s real talent!"

And the millions of horror fans around the world would certainly agree. Bring on June 10 already, this summer is going to be FRIGHTENING!
