Gen Xers are rejoicing with news that the 1990s and early aughts sketch comedy staple MADtv will hit the air waves once more for a 20th reunion special airing on The CW January 12 at 8pm ET.

The MADtv 20th Anniversary Reunion will feature clips from the Emmy-winning comedy show that helped launch the careers of stars including Michael McDonald, Alex Bornstein, Nicole Sullivan, Aries Spears, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Stephnie Weir, Will Sasso, Artie Lange, Debra Wilson, Orlando Jones and so many others. Even Snoop Dogg appeared on the program five times!

Nineteen of the show's alumni will be heading back for the reunion, which is centered around an awards ceremony where nothing goes as planned (who'd have thought!?). No word yet on which of the show's most famous and eccentric characters will be making an appearance. Alex Bornstein's barely intelligble Ms.Swan? Michael McDonald's creepy, rouge-wearing little boy Rusty? Maybe Mo Collins' Mid-West mom who just loves a yard sale bargain? We can't wait to find out on January 12!

In the meantime, CW Seed will be releasing 75 of the funniest MADtv episodes available for streaming beginning January 5.

MADtv aired its first episode on October 14, 1995 and, over 300 episodes later, ended its 14-year run in 2009. Take a look back at some of the moments that had us laughing for 14 years.
