"Misery" Premieres on Broadway
The stage adaptation of Stephen King's Misery opened on Broadway this past Sunday at the Broadhurst Theatre. Running through February 14, the stage adaptation of King's work is directed by Will Frears, written by two-time Oscar winner William Goldman, who also penned the 1990 movie screenplay, and stars Bruce Willis in his Broadway debut and Laurie Metcalf in the roles made famous in the movie version by Kathy Bates and James Caan.
As we reported this summer, Misery is produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, which recently won five Tony Awards for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Castle Rock Entertainment and Raymond Wu.
