Netflix Commits to More "Longmire"

Longmire, the little show that could, just got another boost from its new home at Netflix. Only a month after the leading streaming service released the current fourth season of Longmire, they have already officially announced there will be another season of the crime drama based on the mystery novel series from Craig Johnson.
 

After A&E cancelled Longmire in the fall of 2014 after three seasons—despite strong viewership—Warner Horizon Television shopped the show around for a new home and Netflix picked it up much to the joy of the show’s loyal audience.

The current fourth season debuted on Netflix this past September 10 with the company announcing just this past Friday that another season—Longmire's fifth—will be forthcoming. All four seasons of Longmire are currently available on Netflix.
