Vertigo Comics Launches "The Twilight Children"

First of Twelve New Titles

Back in July, Vertigo Comics announced an exciting Fall slate at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con convention: twelve new series, released over twelve consecutive weeks. On October 14, The Twilight Children—the first of the new Vertigo titles—will be released.

Created by Gilbert Hernandez, co-creator of the seminal and highly influential comic series Love and Rockets, and Darwyn Cooke (DC: The New Frontier), the series will be a surreal look into the small town life of a remote Latin American village and what happens when that life is disrupted by…aliens. Can the townspeople come together to prevent an all-out invasion and save the souls in this sleepy, seaside village?

When asked about working on The Twilight Children with Hernandez, Cooke, who is clearly a fan of his colleague’s work, had this to say:

To enter Gilbert's world and help him bring this remarkable story to Vertigo and our readers...well, I'm gushing, it's an honor.
