WB at E3
Techies and gamers are gearing up to see what will be going down at this year’s E3 Expo taking place in Los Angeles from June 16–18 and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE) will there in a big way! E3 brings together the gaming and technology industries top talent and for three days showcases to the world new breakthroughs, technologies and cutting-edge, never-before-seen products that will soon be in the public’s hands and in their gaming consoles!
WBIE will be showing off all of the latest games launching this year. Within the WBIE booth, E3 attendees will get the chance to play the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight, view the high-octane presentation and play Mad Max, see the live theater presentation of LEGO Dimensions, and try out LEGO Marvel’s Avengers for the first time.
Launching on June 23, Batman: Arkham Knight brings the award-winning Batman: Arkham trilogy from Rocksteady Studios to its epic conclusion. Developed exclusively for the new generation of consoles and PCs, Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady's uniquely designed version of the Batmobile. The highly anticipated addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman: Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City. In this explosive finale, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city that he is sworn to protect, as Scarecrow returns to unite the super criminals of Gotham City and destroy the Batman forever.
E3 attendees will get to see and play Mad Max, available September 1, which delivers open world gameplay in a post-apocalyptic setting where cars are the key to survival. Developed by Avalanche Studios, gamers become Mad Max, a lone warrior who must fight to stay alive in The Wasteland, using vicious on-ground and vehicular combat against savage bandits. Following the theft of his iconic Interceptor, Max must align himself with a gifted, but peculiar, mechanic named Chumbucket and others to build the ultimate war vehicle as he works to escape from the dangerous Wasteland.
From the masterminds at TT Games, LEGO Dimensions breaks the rules of traditional gaming to merge physical LEGO brick building with interactive console gameplay. For the first time in any LEGO videogame, fan-favorite universes are fused together, including DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings, The LEGO Movie, The Simpsons, Doctor Who and many more. Gamers can also customize their experience with expansion packs that provide new buildable characters, vehicles, tools and gadgets, as well as compelling game content and unique in-game abilities. All expansion packs will feature well-known properties and provide gamers the opportunity to use everything interchangeably, anywhere throughout the game. LEGO Dimensions launches September 27.
Lastly, coming this winter, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is the first console videogame featuring characters and storylines from the critically-acclaimed film Marvel’s The Avengers and the blockbuster sequel Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Developed by TT Games, the same team behind the popular LEGO Batman series, The LEGO Movie Video Game and many other familiar titles, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers allows fans to play as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in their quest to save the world while reliving some of the most amazing moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the famed Battle of New York between the Avengers and Super Villain Loki as seen in Marvel’s The Avengers.
