There's nothing we don't and won't do for our pets. And the same can said for them. They easily give more than we could ever ask for in loyalty and love. Max The Movie is recognizing all the small and big ways our pets can be our heroes. Does your dog rest her head in your lap after a rough day at work? Does your cat help your son sleep every night by curling up next to him in bed? This week's #heropet is @theoneandonlysheeba! Read her owner's incredible story: "Sheeba has been my hero for as long as I can remember. The day she came into my life I was in a horrible place. I was a chronically ill 15 year old who had to drop out of public school because I was so sick. I had lost all of my 'friends' when I could no longer do the things a normal teenager could. I was so deep into my depression I had basically given up on living and didn't plan on continuing for much longer. But then here came this crazy little psycho puppy into my life and things changed drastically. We never planned to get her but the day she came into my life she brought a light I had been missing for years. She has been there through everything, she was already trained to be my service dog for my multiple disabilities when I was finally diagnosed at 17 with PTSD, after nothing was helping my therapist suggested training sheeba to be a psychiatric service dog as well. Even now that she is retiring from service dog work due to some health problems she has continued to help me live my life. I rescued her all those years ago and she has not stopped saving me since. #heropet #maxmovie"
