“Kung Fu” The Complete First Season” Arrives On DVD From Warner Home Video

(January 8, 2004 – Burbank, CA) – On March 16th, TV enthusiasts will have the opportunity to relive the epic journeys of Kwai Chang Caine, played by David Carradine (“Kill Bill Vol. 1” & “Vol. 2”) with the DVD release of “Kung Fu: The Complete First Season” from Warner Home Video (WHV). An extremely popular TV show in the 1970’s, “Kung Fu” combined both martial arts and western genres. This unique style of storytelling catapulted the show to #1 among many key demographics for the ABC Television Network and helped spearhead resurgence for the network during the 1970’s. He is a man of peace in a violent land. He is Kwai Chang Caine, schooled in the spirit-mind-body ways of the Shaolin priesthood by the blind avuncular Master Po and the stern, yet loving, Master Kan. Caine speaks softly but he hits hard. He lives humbly, yet knows great contentment. He is the Old West's most unusual hero. But Hero is not a word Caine would use. He would simply say, "I am a man." The release of this landmark television program will include a 3-disc box set with a special collector’s DVD featuring two never-before-seen documentaries: “From Grasshopper To Caine: Creating Kung Fu” and “The Tao of Kwai Chang Caine: Production and Beyond.” “Kung Fu: The Complete First Season” will be available on DVD for $39.98 SRP.
